About the Role

This role involves designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance product performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design mechanical systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in existing designs and implement effective solutions.
  • Create detailed schematics and drafting documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize GD&T principles to ensure precision in design specifications.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Engage in project scheduling to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
  • Apply knowledge of ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance in all engineering projects.
  • Conduct simulations using tools like Simulink, MATLAB, and FEA to validate designs.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Arduino for system integration projects.
  • Participate in system design discussions, contributing mechanical knowledge to interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) for mechanical design.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with quantum engineering concepts is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME codes & standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining practices and capabilities.
  • Experience with LabVIEW for data acquisition and control systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear documentation and presentation of engineering concepts.
