About the Role

We are currently hiring a Lab Technician (Chemist) for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in a regulated laboratory setting. This role involves performing chemical and physical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products. You’ll work with analytical instruments including HPLC and ICP, follow strict quality protocols, and support day-to-day lab operations under GMP and GLP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine chemical and physical testing in accordance with GMP
  • Analyze pharmaceutical raw materials, process intermediates, and finished products
  • Prepare volumetric solutions, mobile phases, and other standard reagents
  • Operate laboratory instruments such as HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, UV, and FT-NIR
  • Interpret results and prepare accurate test reports
  • Maintain clear and compliant documentation including lab notebooks and SOPs
  • Perform Out of Specification (OOS) investigations per internal protocols
  • Calibrate, maintain, and qualify laboratory equipment as required
  • Ensure clean and organized lab space, including waste management and glassware washing
  • Dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials following EPA guidelines
  • Follow all lab safety rules and assist in maintaining a compliant lab environment
  • Support senior chemists and complete other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline (or equivalent work experience)
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, UV, or FT-NIR instrumentation
  • Basic understanding of GMP, GLP, and laboratory safety practices
  • Proficient in using Excel, Word, and digital quality systems
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic math and interpret lab results
  • Availability for full-time, day-shift hours
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or nutraceutical lab
  • Willingness to work rotating or night shifts if required in the future
